RESEARCH: Ancillary Products

In class we had to analyse three digipaks and advertisements. This gave us an idea of what things our digipaks should and shouldn't have. Below is the first one which I analysed. I will mention a few strengths and weaknesses of the digipak and advertisement.


Strengths: 
  • There is a consistent use of colours and fonts throughout this digipak. 
  • The colours compliment each other.
  • It is an appealing as there are a variety of shots; looking straight at the camera and away.
  • The way the CD goes with outside of the CD works well.
Weaknesses:
  • Position of barcode and record logo wasn't too great.


Strengths:
  • Tells audiences where the album is available (HMV).
  • Good use of photographs used - same as the CD photo.
  • Release date shown.
  • Ratings used.
